OnePlus has announced its latest phone, the flagship OnePlus 10T, with a focus on fast charging.

There are a few differentiators from the OnePlus 10 Pro the Chinese company launched earlier in the year.

Most notably, the absence of photography brand Hasselblad.

OnePlus says the 10T is all about power and performance, with less of a focus (no pun intented) on features like photography.

As such, the 10T comes toting the very latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor and up to 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. In practical terms, that means users will be able to have over 35 apps suspended in the background at once. They will be able to jump between them at rapid speed, without any frustrating lag.

The front of the phone is a 6.7-inch 120Hz display that’s HDR10+ certified for watching movies and playing games.

But it’s charging speed that is the ace-in-the-hole. While the OnePlus 10T doesn’t feature wireless charging, it comes bundled with a 120W ‘SUPERVOOC’ charging brick that’ll top the phone up from empty to full in just 19 minutes.

‘We’re incredibly excited to have launched the OnePlus 10T 5G and OxygenOS 13 with our fans and partners in New York City,’ said Pete Lau, Founder of OnePlus.

‘The OnePlus 10T takes our signature fast and smooth performance to the next level at an extremely competitive price point and OxygenOS 13 advances our operating system with a burdenless design and expanded features requested by our users – like an improved selection of always-on displays.’

The OnePlus 10T will go on sale in the UK in two different configurations of RAM/ROM on 25th August.

An 8GB/128GB model will set you back £629 SIM-free while a 16GB/256GB version will cost £729. The former will be a ‘Moonstone Black’ colour while the latter comes in ‘Jade Green’.
