Ever wanted to run the British economy exactly like Liz Truss?

Well now you can, thanks to a new free browser game called 'In Liz We Trust?'.

The retro-style 8-bit game is the latest creation by British gaming company Construct, and gives you the chance to control the Prime Minister in her mission to grab coins from as many UK homes as possible and deliver them to the City of London.

Players must dodge Labour Party leader Keir Starmer, Tory plotter Michael Gove, and the governor of the Bank of England to help Liz in her pro-growth mission to bleed the country dry for the benefit of the mega-rich.

Unlike Margaret Thatcher, the 8-bit version of Truss is for turning and can even jump on her quest to catch falling coins from ordinary households. The action takes place as iconic Truss lines such as her famous 'pork markets' gaffe are played as sound effects. You can play it in your browser here

The game was created in just five days by developers at Construct in collaboration with creative agency Cow and the games developer Bart Alluyn.

It was made using Construct's own tool, a free software which allows anyone to make their own computer games without the need to know any code.

Commenting on the game, Construct cofounder Tom Gullen said: "We provide a platform for users to make video games for educational, recreational, and business purposes.

"It’s quick, cheap, and easy to do and anyone can create a game in a matter of hours without any knowledge of coding. In Liz We Trust? was conceived and developed in three working days at a cost of just £750, which is even less these days than it was before the mini-budget."

Tom added: “Following the catastrophic fallout from Liz’s first weeks in power, we were naturally concerned as a small British business. We thought the best thing we could do was what we do best, with a satirical twist, to put a smile on people’s faces in otherwise grim times. We are sure it’ll big a big hit with everyone across the nation, from Nichola Sturgeon to Rishi Sunak.”

Construct was founded by Tom and his brother Ash in 2011 from their bedrooms at their mum's house, where they used to work until the early hours of the morning making game software.

That software later became Construct, which has since been sold to NASA, EA and Sega.
