The worldwide social media outage has continued with a vengeance, and has now spread to Twitter. During the late evening users noted Facebook and the other platforms under its care have shut down. The outages have effected millions of people, and thousands more have started complaining about the last site standing.
When will Twitter be back up?
Websites often go down from time-to-time, but social media platforms – which frequently have to deal with user surges – are among the best equipped.
Unfortunately for Twitter, the mass exodus of Instagram and Facebook users drifting to their platform to scratch their social media itch seems to have taken its toll.
According to Down Detector, more than 2,000 people have reported issues with the app this evening.
Some users have reported very specific issues with their experience thus evening.
One named Trish, wrote on Down Detector that she keeps getting an “error message.”
She wrote: “Anyone having problems with Twitter, I keep getting error message ‘uh oh, an error was encountered, try again.’“
The issue isn’t quite as widespread as it is on the other platforms, as most people can still access the site.
