All iPhone users must check their smartphones immediately and download a vital patch that’s been released by Apple. The urgent alert has been announced by the US tech firm after the discovery of a flaw that’s being actively exploited by cyber crooks. An update has now been rushed out as part of Apple’s “Rapid Security Response” which is a new service aimed at fixing serious glitches more quickly than before.
Once iOS 16.5.1 (c) is downloaded and installed your iPhone will be protected against any attacks which is why it’s so vital to check things as soon as possible. You don’t even need to wait to connect Wi-Fi with the update weighing in at just 2.8MB in size which is easily downloadable via a mobile signal.
For those not aware, Rapid Security Responses are a new type of software release for iPhone, iPad and Mac. They have been designed by Apple to make it faster to release important security upgrades in-between bigger iOS releases,

As Apple explains, Rapid Security Responses “deliver important security improvements between software updates – for example, improvements to the Safari web browser, the WebKit framework stack or other critical system libraries. They may also be used to mitigate some security issues more quickly, such as issues that may have been exploited or reported to exist.”
To make sure your device is fully updated simply head to Settings > General > Software Update. Here you should see if any changes need to be installed.

Apple actually released this latest patch earlier this week but then pulled it after some users noticed it was crashing websites when surfing in Safari.
That issue has now been fixed with Apple recommending that all users now install 16.5.1 (c) as soon as possible.
