Last month, Virgin Media gifted its TV V6 customers with free access to some of Sky TV’s most popular channels – unlocking hours of new content to binge-watch while in lockdown at home. However, if you haven’t taken full advantage of the raft of paid-for channels yet, you’ll need to get your skates on as the limited time offer ends in a few hours.
The limited-time offer, which kickstarted on Good Friday, has not been extended. Virgin Media has previously announced plans to extend the deadline for other channels bundled for free to TV V6 customers, including children’s channels to keep your young ones entertained.
However, those who want to watch Sky One, Sky Comedy, Sky Witness, Sky Crime and Sky Sports Mix have until the end of Saturday, May 9, 2020, to enjoy all live and catch-up content from these popular channels.
Across these paid-for channels, Virgin Media customers will now be able to access a range of shows on-demand including Hitmen, Bulletproof 2 (Sky One), Ballers, Curb your Enthusiasm (Sky Comedy), The Rookie, and Grey’s Anatomy (Sky Witness).
If you’re halfway through one of these series and want to continue watching on Sunday morning after the limited time offer has ended, you’ll need to fork out £25 a month minimum to get all of these paid-for Sky channels on your TV V6 set-top box.

The full line up of extra channels for families to enjoy includes –
Sky Arts • Sky Comedy • Sky Crime • Sky One
Sky Two • Sky Witness • Sky Sports Mix • Sky Sports News
Movies 2 • Syfy • E!
Fortunately, as mentioned above, a number of other extra channels due to expire this month have been extended, These include the likes of Comedy Central, Discovery, FOX, Gold, Crime + Investigation, Discovery History, and more.
Virgin Media will now allow viewers to tune-in to these for free until June 1, 2020. Given that the previous deadline was set for May 2, so it’s a pretty generous increase. Meanwhile, the Kids channels will be extended to May 22, 2020.
This free bundle, which landed just in time for half-term, includes Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, NickToons, and Nick Jr Too. Across these channels, children will be able to enjoy a range of shows from Ben 10, Paw Patrol, Teen Titans and classics like Tom and Jerry, ScoobyDoo and Spongebob Squarepants.
And that’s not the only temporary bonus that is getting an extension from Virgin Media.
Virgin Media mobile customers will receive another 10GB data boost, plus unlimited minutes to use until May 23, 2020. Although people are encouraged not to leave the house, this should provide a handy boost for anyone with a patchy internet connection at home.
