Virgin Media has previously treated customers to speed broadband upgrades or limited-time access to paid-for channels, but that pales in comparison to the latest offer. For a very limited time, Virgin Media is giving away an Xbox Series S when customers sign-up for select broadband and telly bundles.
The latest generation of console from Microsoft usually costs over £240, which makes this a pretty generous giveaway for new customers. As a quick reminder, the Xbox Series S features a slimline design, access to the latest video games, and streaming apps like Disney+ and Netflix.
For an extremely limited time, Virgin Media is giving away an Xbox Series S (worth £249.99) with a number of its most popular fibre broadband and TV bundles. If you already have a console, you can swap the freebie for £200 bill credit! Virgin Media has also ditched its £35 set-up fee for a limited time too
Xbox Series S is compatible with Xbox Game Pass, a subscription that boasts dozens of brand-new games and retro titles for a flat monthly fee, including the likes of FIFA, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Halo Infinite, Need For Speed, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Games can be streamed to the console over an internet connection – saving you space on the internal hard-drive. You can also pick-up and continue where you left-off on other devices, like an iPad, Android phone, or Samsung Smart TV too.
If you’re not interested in a brand-new Xbox, Virgin Media has got you covered. Customers who don’t want the console have the option to grab £200 credit that will be deducted from their bill instead. Depending on the package, that £200 could cover a few months of your tab with Virgin Media – leaving customers free from Direct Debits until much later this year.
Whether you decide on the free Xbox Series S or the £200 in credit with Virgin Media, the latest offer is only available for a short amount of time. Virgin Media will end its latest promotion at 11.59pm on July 27, 2023.
These offers are available on a small handful of telly and broadband plans, including the Bigger Bundle + Movies, Bigger Bundle + Sports, and Ultimate Volt Bundle. Prices on these packed Virgin Media bundles start from just £62 per month.
Virgin Media has waived its one-off set-up fee (usually £35) making things even more affordable.

Don’t need to upgrade to a new fibre broadband or TV package? Here are the latest prices for a brand-new Xbox Series S console when bought separately…
This budget-friendly console shares a number of features with the Xbox Series X, despite being almost half the price. As well as playing the same library of games, the Series S supports 120 frames-per-second gaming and Quick Resume. It also unlocks streaming from Netflix, Prime Video, and Sky Go.
In our Xbox Series S review, we praised the console for its lightweight design, impressive gameplay performance, and that unmatched Xbox Game Pass experience. However, we did comment on its relatively small 500GB hard-drive …especially for a console without an optical drive that requires players to keep everything on the internal drive.
Still, that’s not going to be an issue if you’re getting this latest-generation console for free, since you can use a small fraction of the £240 you’ve saved on the cost of the console for one of the impressive expansion cards co-developed with Microsoft that offer the same lightning-fast load speeds as the internal drive.
