Members of a local library in Virginia, USA are being asked not to visit the library website anymore—because it's been taken over by a sex shop.
The website URL of Hampton Local Library was reportedly hijacked by a sex doll business in March of this year.
Instead of information on book and DVD rentals, members of the library are being redirected to information about vibrators, 'pocket p***ies', dilos, and even 'acrobatic' sex dolls.

According to local authorities, someone claiming to be a worker for the city approached the domain registrar and took ownership of the old URL. Neither the city nor the library were notified.
Members of the local library are being urged to use a different web address for their book borrowing needs.
In a post on its official Facebook, the city said: "We learned today from a WAVY reporter that the old web address now goes to a retail site that you don't want your kids to see—and may not want to see yourself."
It advises library members to bring in their library cards to get a sticker with the correct website on it, and to confiscate their kids' library cards as they are 'curious'.

The city said it apologises for the incident and that it was 'duped or hacked'.
It added: "No one connected with the city had anything to do with this."
There has been no public comment on the issue by Hampton Adult Toy Store, which was reportedly behind the URL change.
Website URLs can often change hands unexpectedly as their ownership expires every ten years. These can be targeted by other businesses looking to take advantage of their Google traffic – or just prank people, as in this case.
