Nintendo fans have been waiting for more media entertainment to be added to the Switch since it released in March 2017 – and shockingly enough they are still waiting.
Currently the only apps which are officially available are YouTube, Hulu and Funimation.
But we have some exciting news – you can now access Netflix on Nintendo Switch – but there’s a catch.
Modders at XDA Developers have successfully implemented a system which makes it possible to access certain apps on the Nintendo Switch.
The catch is that Netflix is not officially available, but by installing the Android OS on the console, it can run certain apps.
Because the device will run like the Android platform, it can also run other apps such as Chrome, Spotify and Twitch.
According to reports, it won’t mess up your gaming either – with the added bonus of being able to play PUGB mobile, but without Joycon support.
Keep in mind there are a few setbacks to using the Switch as an Android tablet – and this isn't an official fix.
For example, there is no support for GPS, a built-in microphone or camera, so apps which require those will not work.
The Joycons won’t work for every application either.
Other known bugs are that the battery life isn't great, charging not being detected but still works, and auto-rotation doesn't work.
