Emmerdale lines up an emotional and traumatic week, with a new batch of spoiler pictures confirming heartbreak for Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), who is raped by childhood friend Craig.
Craig, who reconnected with her a number of weeks ago, wants to discuss their shared past with Lydia in upcoming scenes, with Lydia offering to take him to their baby’s final resting place, where they imagine what life could’ve been like had things turned out differently.
A charged moment ensues, however, with the pair nearly sharing a kiss, which Lydia struggles to process, with subsequent episodes seeing her snapping at Kim Tate (Claire King), before ultimately coming to the decision that she wants to resign.
Craig tries to talk her out of her decision, before revealing his true feelings to a stunned Lydia, but things take a horrifying turn when the vile newcomer forces himself on a terrified Lydia.
Devastated after being raped, Lydia is driven home by the abuser, before sobbing in the shower as she resolves to keep the trauma a secret.

Elsewhere in the village, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is left feeling insecure when Tom King (James Chase) contemplates moving out of the village and when he offers Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) a lift in his new car, Belle starts to wonder if there is a hint of chemistry between the two.
But things take a shock turn when Tom is confronted by a criminal who demands his car keys while a second attacks him, stealing his car.
Caleb Miligan (William Ash), meanwhile, offers to turn the driving enterprise into a shared business for Cain (Jeff Hordley), Nicky (Lewis Cope) and Nate Robinson (Jurrell Carter).
Nate is intrigued by the proposal. Cain, however, is not, but soon enough, the ice starts to thaw between the siblings, with Caleb subsequently welcomed into the family with a good old-fashioned drink from the Dingle welly.
Emmerdale airs these scenes between Monday, September 4 and Friday, September 8 at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
