With the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing final airing tomorrow, This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has claimed that she's worked out who's going to be taking home the Glitterball trophy.
Following Will Mellor's departure last week, the final four were revealed to be TV presenter Helen Skelton, wildlife filmmaker Hamza Yassin, singer and radio presenter Fleur East, and singer Molly Rainford.
And with Strictly's head judge, Shirley Ballas, appearing on today's This Morning, Alison and co-host Dermot O'Leary were eager to discuss the upcoming final.
And while she refused to say who she thinks will win, instead opting to stay "neutral", Alison claims she has already worked out who the winner will be.
The TV presenter announced: "Shirley, I think I can call it if I’m honest with you and should I tell you the way I work it out?"
Declaring that she thinks Hamza will be crowned champion, Alison explained: "I’m really into social media and what I do is I watch whose social media has increased the most over the time [of the show].
"And I’m going to call that it’s going to be Hamza because his social media has grown the most."
This year's Strictly has been one of the closest-fought series yet, but Alison may be proved correct as Hamza is the current favourite to take home the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
As of Friday 16 December, the odds of him winning sit at 8/15, according to BetVictor.
Helen Skelton is relatively close behind at 6/4, while Molly Rainford and Fleur East – who have both faced multiple dance offs – are at 25/1 and 50/1, respectively.
Hamza previously revealed to OK! that he was left "surprised" by how popular he had become among Strictly fans.
He said: " I didn’t expect this reaction, far from it. When I first got announced as the 13th contestant, a lot of people were like, “Who? A BBC cameraman?” But I really love the support. We couldn’t appreciate it more."
Speaking ahead of the final, Hamza reflected on his Strictly journey and revealed he has lost 13kg, which is over a stone and a half during his dance training.
Speaking to Press Association, the Countrylife star said: "My feet are not achy anymore and I'm seeing body parts being defined and I feel so much happier, fitter, and healthier and I hope I can keep it going. It will be amazing if I can.
“This suit I'm wearing was tailor-made at the beginning and now I'm wearing a belt to tighten it. It's an amazing feeling. Dancing is an incredible workout. There's no need to go running.”
