What is Oobah Butler famous for and is he married?
Oobah Butler is a filmmaker, journalist, author, and television presenter.
He is well known for his series of viral prank films for Vice and has presented MTV show Catfish UK since 2021.
The third series of Catfish UK, co-hosted by YouTube personality Nella Rose, was released in January 2023.
Oobah’s debut book, How To Bullsh*t Your Way To Number 1: An Unorthodox Guide To 21st Century Success, came out in 2019 and was USA Today's number 1 best-seller in the humour category and was a Los Angeles Times best-seller in the summer of 2019.

Taking part in an "Ask me Anything" round of questions on Reddit in 2018, one user asked: “Are you going to come out with a video entitled "How I convinced the world my name is Oobah"?”
To which Oobah responded: “Who is this and how did you get access to my personal details?”
Did Oobah Butler open a restaurant?
Oobah went viral aged 26 in 2017 with a hoax that saw him secure hype, bookings, and even top rankings for a restaurant that had not only never served a plate of food, but didn’t even exist.
He marketed the fake restaurant, named The Shed in Dulwich—Oobah’s own garden shed—as an ultra-exclusive eatery.
The restaurant shot to the top of TripAdvisor’s London rankings after Oobah enlisted his mates to submit over 80 fake five-star reviews.
Reflecting on his prank in Vice, Oobah said: “You could look at this cynically – argue that the odour of the internet is so strong nowadays that people can no longer use their senses properly.
"But I like to be positive.
"If I can transform my garden into London’s best restaurant, literally anything is possible.”
Where is Oobah Butler from?
Oobah was born on February 13, 1992, in Feckenham, Worcestershire, but was raised in London.
Oobah’s father, Paul is from County Mayo in Ireland, and his mother's name is Victoria.
The youngest of six children, Oobah's five older siblings are called Emma, Rebecca, Doc, John, and Peter.
Is Oobah Butler's latest show about Amazon?
Oobah is hitting headlines again with a new documentary on Channel 4 called The Great Amazon Heist, which sees the presenter take on the retail giant.
Going undercover to investigate Amazon’s alleged mistreatment of staff, Oobah discovers that some delivery drivers have taken to peeing into bottles as they often don’t have time to take toilet breaks.
In the new documentary, Oobah comes up with a plan to prank Amazon, repackaging the bottles of urine as energy drinks.
Friends and family bought the fake drinks, making the product a rapid best-seller.
