Amanda Holden is playing hardball with Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell as she began negotiating with the music mogul in front of a live audience during an awards ceremony.
The long-standing judge, 51, who has appeared on the panel for 15 years, told him: “The deal is not done” as she introduced him to the stage at the Variety Club Awards.
Amanda brought up their current wranglings over her contractual arrangement, telling listeners: “I am currently in negotiations for my 16th year on Britain’s Got Talent.”

Simon, 61, retorted to her cheeky dig by whispering to her: “The deal is done.”
But Amanda is clearly playing hardball behind the scenes, as she pointedly told him: “No it is not. The deal is not done.”
But Amanda isn’t the only one who’s future is uncertain.
Simon recently refused to confirm whether fellow judge David Walliams would return to his spot.
David has been facing a string of backlash after audio was uncovered of him making abusive comments to contestants during filming back in 2020.
A leaked transcript showed David made lewd references about one woman and called a pensioner a “c***”.
One comment that stood out in particular was directed at a female contestant, where he is heard saying: “She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t,” adding she had given him a “b***r” before it “shrivelled up inside my body.”
In an exclusive interview with the Daily Star, Simon dodged the topic of David’s return.

Asked what he thinks about David’s behaviour, he said: “Can we not go there? If you don’t mind.”
And when asked if David will be back on Britain’s Got Talent in 2023, he admitted a decision is yet to be made.
He said: “Ask me in a few weeks.”
In a grovelling apology, David said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent.
“These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.”
In another blow for David, Simon also declared the show’s judges aren’t vital for it to be a success.
Chatting at the Variety Club Showbusiness Awards, he said: “For me the most important thing is the talent. It’s always about that. If you don’t have great talent, you don’t have a show. That’s all I care about.”
