Antiques Roadshow fans 'heartbroken' as BBC show 'hits new low' with latest episode | The Sun

ANTIQUES Roadshow fans have been left "heartbroken" as the show "hit a new low" in the latest episode.

BBC viewers have slammed the show, claiming that it no longer features authentic antiques that they want to see.

According to experts, goods must be at least 100 years old to qualify. Anything newer on the show, on the other hand, is categorised as vintage.

In a recent Antiques Roadshow episode, Flog It! dealer Michael Baggott said there were no antiques to be found.

On X/Twitter, he wrote: "The sad day came at last, not a single antique on the Antiques Roadshow. Bit heartbroken by it to be honest."

The one object in the show, a Liberty card holder from circa 1901, that would have met the requirements, according to him, had undergone "obvious re-soldering" and was basically worthless.

Fans were not happy that the show wasn't including antiques they wanted to see, and many complained Fiona Bruce was getting too much airtime.

The Question time host participated in a guessing game as well as a "catch up" segment.

One fan wrote on X/Twitter: "FFS – Lego? Antiques' Roadshow seems to be stretching the name more and more.'"

A second sarcastically said: "Ooh another Rolex How exciting, said nobody."

One wrote: "Just incase you haven’t seen Fiona Bruce on your screen for the last three minutes. Eventually they’ll show you some antiques and their stories… Oh wait maybe not Fiona’s got something else to tell you."

Another added: "Tonight on The Fiona Bruce Show Fiona will wander through sunlit meadows while some antique experts will be looking on wondering what the f**k is going on."
