Barbarians season two is just around the corner with all of the episodes dropping on Netflix at the same time. The first series was renewed for a second outing just under a month after it made its debut and it has continued to grow in popularity. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about when it will air and how many episodes to expect.
When is Barbarians season 2 out?
In August 2022 it was announced the series would return for season two on Friday, October 21.
Daniel Donskoy, who plays Flavus, shared the exciting news on Twitter along with a poster for the series.
A teaser trailer was released at the time, with the official trailer dropping on September 29.
In the trailer fans hear the words: “It has been a year of peace and healing, new legions are coming.”
Viewers are warned that the Roman army will attack soon and the tribes will need to be reunited.
Yet with just 8,000 men between them, there are fears it will not be enough to stand their ground.
Fans are teased to some incredible fight scenes as the Barbarians fight for their land once more.
The words: “Treason has no allies” appear on the screen at the end of the chilling video.
How many episodes are in Barbarians season 2?
When the season renewal was announced it was confirmed series two will have six episodes.
They are expected to be about 45 minutes long, so viewers can easily binge it over the weekend.
All six episodes will air at the same time, with fans in the US able to watch from midnight.
For those in the UK, they will have to wait until 8am on Friday for the new episodes to arrive.

Fans will be excited to hear that season two welcomes some new cast, with Robert Maaser playing Odvulf.
Murathan Muslu will play the main antagonist called Maroboduus, the Marcomanni King.
Andrea Garofalo will play Aulus, with Stefan Ruzowitzky, Katharina Heyer, Alessandro Fella, Cynthia Micas, Gabriele Rizzoli and Giovanni Carta.
The synopsis for the second series reads: “A year after the Varus Battle, the Roman troops have returned to Germania, stronger than ever, and Ari is once again confronted with his Roman past.
“His brother has joined the Roman side to punish Ari for his betrayal of Rome.
“While Thusnelda and Ari try to unite the tribes against Rome, Folkwin makes a sinister challenge to the gods.”
Season two is expected to touch on the successful uniting of the two Germanic tribes as they prepare to take on the three Roman Legions.
As the war with Rome is still ongoing, there are plenty of famous battles still to come.
