IN case they didn't have enough to deal with already, the BBC has once again come under fire.
Viewers across the country tuned into Friday's edition (20 October) BBC Breakfast to wake up to the latest news and updates.
However, fans of the BBC's flagship morning show have slammed producers for their 'careless' production.
Correspondents Fiona Lamdin and Alison Freeman went live from respective locations in Brechin and Whitley Bay to give the latest on Storm Babet.
But as viewers watched Charlie Stayt, 61, cross live to the hooded reporters, they were left utterly cringing as Alison in particularly described conditions as "horizontal rain".
They took to X – formerly known as Twitter – in their droves as they slammed the BBC for seemingly putting the reporters in harm's way just for 'effect'.

One angered viewer asked: "Who needs to see rain live? #BBCBreakfast."
A second fumed: "Careless reporting on Storm Babet on #BBCBreakfast putting a reporter in the field just for effect. Absolutely shameful."
"Yep here we are, back to putting reporters in the ‘midst’ of the storm for effect, here we go again folks … #BBCBreakfast," commented a third.
Whilst a fourth exclaimed: "Why do the BBC need to put reporters in these horrible conditions. It’s purely for effect but it’s absolutely not required for the viewers to be made aware of how bad it is out there. Where is the duty of care to these reporters #BBCBreakfast."

And a fifth added: "Oh no, we're back to the 'out of her depth' flood reporter on #BBCBreakfast I'm sure those recently rescued people want to chuck her in."
And other viewers were extremely worried for the rescued people that were interviewed by the programme.
One user fumed: "Poor people are freezing let them go inside #bbcbreakfast."
Another exclaimed: "@BBCBreakfast How about you get your stupid reporter away from where the rescue boats are coming in and get your cameras off the poor people?!"
A third viewer was absolutely incensed as they commented: "You’ve just been rescued from your flooded home with a few belongings….you get off the rescue dinghy thinking “my day can’t get any worse” Then….some #BBCBreakfast trainee thrusts a microphone and a camera in your face."
Another person wrote: "So many people saying this: #BBCBreakfast 'reporters' rubbernecking & getting in way of rescue efforts in #StormBabet."
They added: "Poor, frightened traumatized people who've had to flee devastated neighbourhoods & their flooded homes should not be exposed like this."
