BBC Breakfast’s newcomer Ben Boulos confessed he was “delighted to have company” on the iconic red sofa for his second day on the job presenting the iconic morning show.

The 38-year-old – who has previously appeared on BBC World News – made his BBC Breakfast debut on Monday and it's fair to say he’s taken off with fans after he replaced usual presenters Sally Nugent and Jon Kay for the festive special.

During Tuesday’s instalment, the hunky host was accompanied by established host Luxmy Gopal as he shared a sweet selfie beside his co-star on social media.

And it appears as though he is grateful for her support, after he confessed to his loyal legion of fans that he was “delighted” for the company on the BBC One programme.

Taking to Twitter, the suave broadcaster shared a lovely snap beside the 29-year-old reporter who opted for a royal blue dress with a festive red lipstick.

And the dynamic duo couldn’t have been more coordinated as the TV presenter could be seen adjusting his matching blue tie while they presented the show together.

He captioned the sweet snap: “Delighted to have company on the red sofa @BBCBreakfast this morning – and delighted that it’s @luxmy_g [smiling emoji] #BBCBreakfast.”
