BBC Breakfast host John Watson took to Twitter to share his injuries after suffering from a black eye.
John shared two selfies online of a close up of his eye, which had a red bruising all over the lid. Alongside the painful-looking snap, he shared a second selfie from onset to show how well the BBC makeup team had covered the redness.
He told his 5.7k followers: "The joys of getting dressed in the dark at 4am… (I really do need to watch out for those doors) not that you’d notice, great job from the brekkie make up team."

Fans in the comments sent John well wishes and one lended some advice, writing: "Ouch. Lesson to learn, don’t get dressed in the dark. Take your clothes into the bathroom so as not to disturb your wife. Hope it get better soon. Stay safe…"
"That looked like it hurts bless you," a second put, while a third added: "Disappointed it’s not from a Wednesday night flying elbow."
The BBC star's injury comes after his former co-host Dan Walker shared his ordeal and injuries online after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
"Bit of an accident this morning," he wrote in February after the accident. "Glad to be alive after getting hit by a car on my bike. Face is a mess but I don’t think anything is broken.
"Thanks to Shaun and Jamie for sorting me out and the lovely copper at the scene. This is my smiling. Thankful for our NHS."
He gave fans regular updates on how he was feeling, writing in one tweet: "I’m very grateful for all your kind messages & for my family & lovely friends. I’m also thankful for the paramedics, the police & the people who looked after me in A & E."
More recently, Dan updated fans for the final time to tell them he'd gotten back on his bike and was now feeling "safe and secure."
