SALLY Nugent has revealed her 'favourite' Christmas moment as she enjoys some time off work.
The beloved BBC Breakfast star, 52, has had a turbulent year after splitting from her husband.
She was said to be 'devastated' following her marriage breakdown to businessman husband Gavin Hawthorn, 52, in May.
But now the star is very much looking forward to Christmas and has shared her favourite moment from the festive period.
Speaking ahead of her appearance on Strictly Come Dancing, Sal said: "I love Christmas eve, Christmas eve is my favourite day of the year!
"I like the bit before the getting ready for the big day, I like doing all the food the night before.

"I love cooking, I am obsessed with roast potatoes. I just love that moment when you shut the door and all the work is done and you’re just waiting for it to be Christmas day. That’s my favourite moment."
The journalist and anchor won't be making any New Year's resolutions but is instead planning a luxury holiday.
Sally revealed: "I don’t really make resolutions, but I am looking forward to the new year and a sunny holiday!
"I’m going to get away, get on a beach and get some sunshine and recharge – that’s my New Years resolution – do that!"

The Sun previously revealed how BBC Breakfast bosses Sally time off to compete in the Christmas special of Strictly.
It's already been filmed with the winner being firmly kept under wraps by show bosses.
Sally will take to ballroom alongside professional dance partner Graziano Di Prima.
The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special will air on Christmas Day at 4.40pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
