BBC World News anchor Karin Giannone has married her BBC co-star in a sweet ceremony.

She and BBC Television News Director Nick Buckley have been dating since 2019, and announced the news on Twitter to the delight of their colleagues and friends.

Posting two sweet snaps of the pair together, Karin could be seen clutching a white bouquet as Nick posed with his arm securely around her.

Ditching the traditional white dress for a strappy black number, Karin secured her blonde hair in an elegant ponytail and added silver stud earrings and a delicate necklace to her ensemble.

She added a dash of eyeliner to her glam look, along with a deep purple lipstick.

Nick, meanwhile, rocked a casual white shirt and his usual black-rimmed glasses as the pair beamed for the camera while snuggled close.

Another sweet picture saw the pair head to a Californian beach to watch the sunset with their arms around each other, as Karin slipped into a pair of blue flip flops and Nick opted to go barefoot.

Writing on Twitter, Karin penned: “Went to California. @njb and I got married. 4.8.22.”

Their co-stars immediately flocked to the comments section to praise the pair, with BBC Breakfast star Ben Boulos writing: “Oh wow! Congratulations to you both! (Tempted to add this as the end-of-bulletin uplifting story next hour)!”

While Sally Bundock added: “Fantastic news – so so thrilled for both of you!”
