Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) is set to unleash his wrath as he is faced with the unexpected return of Emma Harding (Patsy Kensit) in upcoming EastEnders scenes.
Emma came back into daughter Lola’s life earlier this year, but left again for a job in America when her daughter’s illness became too much for her to handle.
After making a brief return for Lola’s funeral back in June, Emma is set to return to the Square, much to the horror of Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick).
His issues start when Lexi Pearce (Isabella Brown) begins acting cagey with her phone, and Jay soon learns that it is because she has been texting Emma.
He soon comes to realise that Emma is back, and agrees to talk with her. During their discussion she reveals that she is worried about Lexi, who has been messaging her for weeks.
Furious, Jay throws her out, much to the disappointment of Callum Highway (Tony Clay), who believes that Jay should listen to Emma for Lexi’s sake.
Ben, on the other hand, is absolutely furious about Emma’s return and bans her from seeing Lexi.
However, Jay soon seeks guidance from Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who advises him to put Lexi’s feelings first, as it is clear that she loves her grandma.
Following Kathy’s advice, he once again agrees to speak with Emma, who leaves him heartbroken by showing him the anguished messages Lexi has been sending her.
It becomes clear that Lexi didn’t want to further upset her dads, and instead chose to offload on Emma.
Having seen the messages, Ben agrees to talk to Ben about letting Lexi see Emma more regularly.
As she continues to push for access to her granddaughter, her hopes are soon crushed by Ben.
Will he ever change his mind about Emma?
