Good Morning Britain's Ben Shephard has said goodbye to a long-standing co-star who has served 24 years with ITV's morning news.
The breakfast news host and his co-stars Charlotte Hawkins and Laura Tobin bid farewell to cameraman Geoff Ledger in Friday morning's episode where they gave him a leaving present and told him they would miss him.
Geoff was on the other side of the camera from his usual role as the team said a fond goodbye to him and joked that they were sorry he had spent so much time working with weather forecaster Laura.
Charlotte said: "I know that you've worked with Laura, you've braved the elements with her a few times so I'm sorry about that, all the times you've had to work with her."
But Laura called out: "I love you Geoff, going to miss you!" as Geoff replied: "You too, Laura."
Geoff, holding a celebration helium balloon, also got the chance to thank his colleagues – but made the surprising admission that he had only ever been to the show's studio once in 24 years of work.
He said: "I will miss everybody who I've worked with. And to be honest with you, I've only been down to GMTV (the show's previous title) once in 24 years."
Ben laughed as he told Geoff: "Quite frankly, that's probably why you've survived such a long time. Stay on the road Geoff, it's much safer. They can't catch you."
Charlotte added: "Best of luck for what's to come next for you. Thank you so much for all you've done, you'll be missed."
The Good Morning Britain team cheered, whistled and clapped for Geoff as they said goodbye.
But Ben had the last word as he joked: "Amazing memories…24 years and we've given him a balloon. Wow!"
Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid recently said goodbye to the show too – but only for an extended break, as she announced she was taking two weeks off from her early morning role.
Meanwhile, it has been rumoured that Ben and his co-star Kate Garraway could be being lined up for a new role on This Morning.
Former hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have both left the show after many years on air following problems for each of them in their lives off screen, and ITV is thought to be considering making viewer favourites Ben and Kate the new Phil and Holly.
