At the end of series one of Beyond Paradise, fans were treated to some exotic sunshine as Humphrey Goodman visited his old stomping ground in Saint Marie.
While taking in the blue-skied vista of the Caribbean coastline, the Detective Inspector took some time away to clear his mind and consider his future in Shipton Abbott.
Fans were delighted to see Kris return as Humphrey after he left Death in Paradise back in 2017 to spend some more time with his family.
However, six years after his exit fans of Death in Paradise were shown a teaser of Humphrey returning to the island of Saint Marie.

A teaser video showed Humphrey making a return to Saint Marie where he returns to his former home, the shack on the beach, and comes across a very familiar face from the past.
BBC bosses said fans will be very excited by the crossover, as Kris shared: “I was honoured and delighted to return to Guadeloupe as part of Humphrey’s journey in Beyond Paradise, and to rekindle my deep passion for the island.”
Despite being gone from the BBC soap for a while, Kris had never shut down the idea of a return and often teased his likelihood of coming back.
He previously told Digital Spy: “I would say there’s always a possibility of something like that. I’d love to bring them all back, really, for different reasons. I had such a wonderful time.
“I think it’d be awesome to have all four detectives in one show or one episode together, as a meta thing where their worlds collide.”
Beyond Paradise series one is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
