BGT's Jenny Darren liked vile homophobic and racist videos on her YouTube account

But it turns out there’s a lot more to the OAP rocker than meets the eye — and every bit is deeply unpleasant.

I can reveal she has had a huge telling-off from show bosses after liking a string of homophobic and racist YouTube videos.

The singer, who became a bookies’ favourite to win the ITV series, has created a playlist on her account that includes clips which criticise homosexuality and label Jews a “pest to society”.

One shock video suggests our Royal Family are “imposters”, while Jews should be “hunted down”. Another calls LGBT relationships “a prevalent sin in society”.

Many more videos in Jenny’s playlist were deleted after my team went to her.

As she revealed on BGT, she is also a poet — but it turns out her work isn’t at all about love and flowers.

One poem written for her Facebook page, titled The Future, lashes out at LGBT relationships.

A TV insider said: “Jenny’s behaviour online is shocking and inappropriate. She’s supposed to represent a family show but is instead setting an extremely bad example for her followers.

“It’s not only an embarrassment for Jenny, it’s a headache for the show and producers are fuming. Its most senior execs have discussed her future on BGT and have given her a huge telling-off.”

A show spokeswoman said: “Any prejudicial language or behaviour is abhorrent to everyone involved in BGT, which is an inclusive show.

“As a result, Jenny Darren has been reprimanded by producers regarding her previous statements, and has been warned over her future conduct. She has profusely apologised.”

It baffles my mind that it’s someone’s job to make sure contestants don’t have a murky past and yet this slips through.

Given she’s a vile no-mark, BGT should just ditch her now and be done with it.

Shirl: Cam will be a wedding zinger

Camilla Parker-Bowles will be the one to watch out for on the dance floor at the Royal Wedding next month, according to Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas.

The ballroom expert has praised the Duchess of Cornwall’s moves after meeting her last year at Buckingham Palace.

Shirley said: “I saw Camilla dance and actually she had some rhythm and talent.

“So maybe I shall give her a cha-cha-cha lesson. I would love to do that.”

While show bookers search for the next crop of celebrity contestants, Shirley teased there may be a chance they are not all paired with someone of a different gender.

Speaking at the opening night of Strictly Ballroom: The Musical in London’s West End, she hinted: “We’ve had wheelchair dancers. Possibly we could have same-sex couples.

“I’m sure everybody would be welcome.”

Hopefully the line-up is better than last year. It wasn’t the Beeb’s best. . .

Benedict jacks up his act

Benedict Cumberbatch had to swot up for his latest TV series – learning how to shoot up heroin.

The Sherlock star plays a posh drug addict in Sky Atlantic drama Patrick Melrose, which starts on May 13.

The posh bit was easy for ex-public school boy Benedict. But he said of his screen character: “This is a very experienced junkie. So learning how to shoot up, and the effect on body and mind, was of paramount importance.”

He also consulted ex-addicts including Edward St Aubyn, writer of the autobiographical novels that inspired the series.

From the two episodes I’ve seen so far, it is worth a watch.

JOANNA LUMLEY sure speaks sense. The Ab Fab star, speaking to Good Housekeeping mag about about the Hollywood sex scandal, praised the #MeToo movement but said she is “terrified that all men are seen as bad”.

SHE may be a judge on America’s Got Talent, but Mel B is making sure nobody forgets her Spice Girl roots.

Scary Spice strutted on to the show’s set in Hollywood on Tuesday with the band’s “Girl Power” slogan across her frock.

I bet she never lets fellow judge Simon Cowell hear the end of it.
