Big Brother boss Kevin Lygo has teased that a famous voice might be returning to the show – Marcus Bentley.
Marcus narrated the popular show for the duration of its time on air up until the final series in 2018.
Now, as Big Brother’s set to make its comeback next year, Marcus is apparently in talks to return to his iconic role. However, it’s still “very early days”, he says.
Marcus explained: “I'm not confirmed. It's very early days. I think it sounds like I am. I'm getting calls from [producers] and they're going to keep me updated. But they haven't chosen anything.”

ITV Studios head Kevin, who recently gave an update on Jeremy's Clarkson's future on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, added to The Sun: “People thought that Big Brother would never come back but we were overwhelmed by the response when we announced it.”
Big Brother was originally aired on Channel 4, before moving over to Channel 5 in 2011.
It’s since been acquired by ITV however, who confirmed its return will be in the New Year.
A teaser shared by the network over the summer read: “Clever tasks, nail-biting nominations and live evictions will be back, with the public once again playing a crucial role, voting throughout the series and ultimately determining the winner, who will walk away with a life changing cash prize."
The trailer saw the iconic Big Brother theme tune play out on an ITV logo as it soon turned to the legendary show's eye, as it's revealed at the end: "2023”.
While Marcus is being eyed to return to the show as its narrator, it’s believed former Strictly Come Dancing star AJ Odudu may replace Emma Willis as Big Brother’s presenter.
“AJ has been offered the Big Brother job and jumped at the opportunity. It’s a huge boost to her career,” a TV insider claimed to The Sun.
“AJ and ITV are still ironing out details in her contract but she has told a lot of people the job is hers.”
AJ previously co-hosted spin-off show Big Brother's Bit On The Side back in 2013.
Contestant applications officially opened in October – much to fans’ excitement. One wrote: "OMFG it’s gonna be iconic."
Another commented: "*SCREAMS* welcome back BBUK," whilst another wrote: "I have just peed with excited…….real people, real experience YAAAASS BIG B."
Meanwhile, one person implored ITV to choose "real people" to appear on the show as they wrote: "Please make it like the early days. Not actors/influencers/realitypersonalities/celebs ect. Real people from real environments."
