Big Brother 18 stars Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo began dating a year after they met and engaged several months later. The couple initially planned a destination wedding in Turks and Caicos with an extensive guest list. However, they had to reschedule twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the postponement, the two announced they were expecting their first child.
A couple of months after revealing the pregnancy, they tied the knot. Shortly later, the couple held an ice cream-themed gender reveal party. Immediately after finding out the gender, Arroyo seemingly announced the baby’s name.
Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo engaged in 2017
Big Brother stars Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo met during season 18 as they competed together. However, the two weren’t romantically involved as she was in a showmance with Corey Brooks at the time.
Although they continued dating after the show, the couple seemingly abruptly broke up without a definitive reason in 2016. She stayed in touch with Arroyo, and the two hung out a year later when they were in town for the BB19 premiere.
During a Sept. 2017 episode of her podcast, Franzel announced they had been dating for the past three months. A year later, they returned to the Big Brother house where he proposed.
Following the engagement, the two settled into an Ubly, Michigan-based place, and he began working as a police officer. Franzel, a nursing graduate, is a social media influencer.
Franzel and Arroyo announce their first pregnancy and married
The couple initially planned a Turks and Caicos destination wedding for Dec. 2020, a few months after she returned home from Big Brother 22: All-Stars.
However, they had to postpone it to May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In Jan. 2021, the two revealed they were expecting their first child in an Instagram photoshoot where they proudly displayed her sonogram and arrival date of July 2021.
A couple of months later, they tied the knot in an intimate Florida wedding with a few reality stars, including Big Brother’s Christmas Abbott, Memphis Garrett, Josh Martinez, and Bret LaBelle and Leo Temory of The Amazing Race.
Arroyo seemingly dropped the baby’s name during gender reveal
Shortly before their wedding, Franzel shared an Instagram IGTV video of the two receiving the envelope that contained the gender of their baby. In the clip, Arroyo danced happily, humming “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands” and attempting to peak through it.
A week after their wedding, the two held an ice cream-themed gender reveal party. When Franzel poured the “icing” on “ice cream” that Arroyo had, it came out blue, revealing the baby’s gender as a boy.
After the BB18 winner, who claimed her legs were “shaking,” kissed her elated husband, he proudly announced the baby would carry his name, becoming Victor Arroyo IV.
However, the two might decide on a different name before the birth of their son. Franzel has already announced their baby’s arrival date for July 2021. Big Brother season 23 should return around the same time.
