Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants onto The Chase as Barbara, Ben, Lauren and Scott battled it out against the Chaser Anne Hegerty. However, Bradley was left issuing a light-hearted warning to Lauren when she cheekily shut down one of his jokes during the ITV quiz show.
Barbara was the first to face the Chaser and secured her spot in the final by adding £8,000 to the prize fund.
Ben was next up to take on Anne after earning £6,000 in his cash builder round.
During his head-to-head with the Chaser, Bradley questioned one of Ben’s answers.
Ben and Anne were asked: “What name is given to the den of an otter?”

The options were sett, holt and drey leaving the contestant stumped.
He opted for drey but the ITV quiz host branded his answer “controversial”.
Ben explained: “I think sett is a badger and there’s a wetlands centre I go to where they have otters and I wished I’d paid more attention to what their den is called.”
Bradley then revealed the correct answer was holt before joking: “Do you know what a water otter is? A kettle.”
Ben laughed but his teammate Lauren cried out: “That’s awful!”
“What do you mean that’s awful Lauren?” Bradley asked.
“You wait til you get up here now. There’ll be trouble now when you come up here, having a go at my gags.”
Anne answered the question correctly moving one step closer to Ben.

“A drey is where you find squirrels,” the Chaser revealed.
Ben sailed through into the final but Lauren and Scott were unable to do the same.
They scored 15 in the final chase and were caught with 29 seconds spare.
Anne commented: “If they’d just kept up the pace and especially if they had the other two to add another couple of steps it could be a completely different game.”
Meanwhile, The Chase fans took to Twitter to complain about the trickiness of the questions.
@teenamassam tweeted: “Tough questions tonight…#thechase.”
@BryonyChelsea added: “What the hell are tonight’s questions. I’m better than this I promise #thechase.”
“Stinking questions, apart from the last one #thechase,” @robert_wtt wrote.
The Chase airs on ITV on weekdays at 5pm.
