Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby were back on Sunday to host a This Morning Christmas Special. The presenters were also joined by their fellow ITV co-stars including Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond, as well as Rochelle Humes and Gyles Brandreth. Bradley Walsh and Sir Cliff Richard joined them in the studio to discuss their festive projects.

However, the show took an unexpected turn when Holly and Phillip spoke with Bradley about The Chase.

The Doctor Who star was shocked at the length of the interview, telling the hosts he was on the show to get out of cutting potatoes for his wife.

He also went on to mock Sir Cliff Richard’s appearance on the programme when the hosts asked Bradley to stay to watch the Mistletoe and Wine hitmaker’s performance.

“Happy Christmas, Happy New Year,” Holly said as she wrapped up the interview.
