Bradley Walsh’s co-star thought he was a ‘t***’ when he walked off TV set

The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh was fondly remembered by his former Doctor Who co-stars Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill on Bradley Walsh: The Laugh’s On Me: My Classic TV Moments.

Jodie, who played the 13th Time Lord, recalled: "Every day was him kn*bbing about! There was no line with him and it was so funny… you could pick on him, he can take a joke but he’s also there for you if you need him.

"There were so many times where he knew I’d be really struggling with my lines so he’d do something like he’d go make himself a cup of tea.

"So he’d walk off set. So everyone would go ‘oh we’ve lost Brad! Where’s Brad?’

"I knew he did it on purpose and only I knew he did it but he was doing it to look after us."

Mandip then admitted that she didn't know that it was one of Bradley's tricks and thought he was just being difficult.

She replied: "I didn’t know that. I just thought he was a t**t!

"He always used to bite his nails didn’t he and be on his phone.

"I just thought he’s gonna have another meeting about The Chase!"

Luckily, Bradley ended up winning Mandip over and the pair became good friends during his time as the Doctor's companion on the BBC show.

Meanwhile, Bradley recently opened up about his health fears, as he admitted he thought he wouldn't make it past 60 after his dad died aged 59.

He was told by doctors he was at high risk of developing heart problems, as he told The Sun: "I was a time bomb. I produce too much cholesterol. It’s a silent killer. My heart guy said, 'Look, Brad, you need to get fit'."

The star has since overhauled his lifestyle after admitting that getting to 60 was a big milestone for him.

Bradley Walsh: The Laugh’s On Me: My Classic TV Moments airs Sunday on Channel 5 at 9pm.
