Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger sister of global superstar Britney Spears, is reportedly set to join the line-up of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
The 32 year old actress has had a rocky relationship with her famous older sister, who was under a strict conservatorship by their father for years.
Producers are said to be hoping that Jamie Lynn will spill some family secrets when she arrives in Australia for the ITV show. In her recent memoir, Britney, 41, called Jamie Lynn a "total b***h" for not supporting her more.
In her book, The Woman in Me, Britney claimed she asked for help when she was forced into rehab, but her sister told her to "stop fighting it".
An insider shared to The Mirror: "Jamie Lynn has got decades of history and bad blood with Britney to rake over and has laid out her feelings pretty clearly in her own book. It will be interesting to hear her spill the beans about her life and her family and the controversial conservatorship – and to find out whether the sisters really do get along now – or not."
Last year, the sisters, who also have a brother named Bryan, had a public feud on social media. Britney accused Jamie Lynn of being involved in the conservatorship, while Jamie Lynn insisted she didn't know what her sister had gone through.
Jamie Lynn has shared her struggles of growing up in the shadow of her famous sister in her own memoir, Things I Should Have Said: Family, Fame, and Figuring it Out.
Britney responded to this by saying: "As I was fighting the conservatorship and receiving a lot of press attention, she was writing a book capitalising on it. She rushed out salacious stories about me, many of them hurtful and outrageous.
"I was really let down. Shouldn't sisters be able to confess their fear or vulnerability to each other without that later being used as evidence of instability?"
However, there seems to be a glimmer of hope for their relationship as Britney posted on Instagram in June: "nice to visit my sister on set last week". It is believed that this visit happened while Jamie Lynn was filming the sequel to Zoey 102.
The Hit Me One More Time singer shared that she's trying to feel more compassion than anger towards Jamie Lynn and others who have wronged her. "I'm working to feel more compassion than anger toward her and toward everyone who I feel has wronged me," she said. "It's not easy."
I'm a Celebrity is set to kick off on 19 Nov, with former UKIP leader Nigel Farage and jockey Frankie Dettori also rumoured to be participants.
This Morning star Josie Gibson, ex-EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, food critic Grace Dent and presenter Marvin Humes are also rumoured to be joining the show.
Jamie Lynn starred in teen sitcom Zoey 101 from 2005-2008, before becoming a mum at 16.
She's now married with two kids and has a role in Netflix's Sweet Magnolias.
Earlier this year, she appeared in the Fox TV series Special Forces: World's Toughest Test – the American version of SAS: Who Dares Wins – but left in the third episode because she missed her children.
Then, in September, she was among the line-up for the US edition of Strictly – Dancing with the Stars – but was voted off in the second week of the competition.
An ITV spokesperson said: "The line up for IAC has not been announced yet, any names suggested for the new series are just speculation."
