BGT: Bruno could have ‘killed’ Simon after prank
Moving from one primetime hit to another, there’s a new judge on the Britain’s Got Talent panel this series: Bruno Tonioli. And there’s no missing him in his sparkly red sequin suit jacket.
In a new teaser clip, Bruno meets his fellow BGT judges, Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon, as well as presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly.
“Oh my,” Simon immediately exclaims. “I really feel underdressed now.
The head judge is dressed in his trademark outfit of a dark sweater and trousers.
“Bruno, I think you need to make more of an effort,” Alesha joked as she sported a risqué black dress.
Simon followed this up by asking Bruno if he is nervous for his debut.
“Terribly!” Bruno admitted. “You know as a kid, on Christmas Day – what is this going to be like?”
Ant and Dec then joined the rest of the team with a chant of “Bruno! Bruno! Bruno!”
Bruno embraced the pair, saying: “My God, finally!”
Bruno makes the switch from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, where he was a judge for 18 years.
It has, however, been a while since fans saw him behind the judge’s table on Strictly, as he focused on America’s Dancing With The Stars instead.
He replaces former BGT judge David Walliams, whose exit from the hit show was shrouded in controversy.
Speaking to Alex Jones and Anita Rani on BBC’s The One Show, Bruno revealed he didn’t do any research before his first day in his new role.

Bruno told viewers: “How do I research? I got the job and I was on screen the next week.”
“The crazy thing is I had no idea I was up for the job. I had no idea. I never seen it in my life. I never watched it,” he continued.
Britain’s Got Talent, which is now in its sixteenth series, will return to screens this weekend and fans cannot wait to see what Bruno brings to the panel.
No doubt, some of the same exuberance and over-the-top behaviour fans came to know and love him for on Strictly.
As always, acts will be battling it out for a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance, as well as the £250,000 prize money.
Britain’s Got Talent starts Saturday 15th April at 8pm on ITV and ITVX and continues on Sunday at 7:45pm.
