US legal drama Bull has been running since 2016, proving to be a huge success for CBS. The show is based on the early career of Dr Phil McGraw, who was the founder of one of the biggest trial-consulting law firms in America. NCIS and Dark Angel star Michael Weatherly plays the lead Dr Jason Bull, who prepares clients for court with the help of his team of experts.
Has Bull been renewed for another season?
Yes, Bull has been renewed for another season with the fourth outing on the cards.
CBS announced the Bull season four renewal this month, along with recommissions for SEAL Team, S.W.A.T., Madam Secretary, Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver.
However, Steven Spielberg’s production company Amblin Television confirmed to Deadline it was severing ties with the series.
Spielberg and Amblin Television bosses Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey previously served as executive producers on the show.
The show is still expected to go ahead despite Amblin Television pulling out.
Express.co.uk has approached CBS for comment on these reports.
The decision for Amblin Television comes after former star Eliza Dushku made sexual harassment allegations against lead star Michael Weatherly.
Dushku, who also claimed she was written out of the show after confronting Wetherley, was awarded an estimated £7.2 million ($9.5 million) by CBS in December 2018.
CBS issued an apology at the time, which stated: “The allegations in Ms. Dushku’s claims are an example that, while we remain committed to a culture defined by a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace, our work is far from done.”
Actor Wetherley denied any involvement in Dushku getting fired. But he made his own apology in the New York Times, saying: “During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script.
“When Eliza told me that she wasn’t comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to have offended her and immediately apologized.
“After reflecting on this further, I better understand that what I said was both not funny and not appropriate and I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza.”
When will Bull season 4 air?
Season three of Bull aired in January 2019 on FOX UK, which means fans could be waiting a while.
The fourth series is likely to be airing in 2020 in Britain, judging by the previous premier date.
In the US, all previous seasons of Bull have aired on CBS in September, so it’s expected to be airing at a similar time this year.
CBS has yet to confirm the season four premiere date and episode count but there are likely to be 22 instalments in total.
Who is in the cast of Bull season 4?
The show wouldn’t work without its lead, so Weatherly is expected to be back in the frame as the eponymous Dr Jason Bull.
Most likely to be joining him will be Freddy Rodríguez as Bull’s lawyer brother-in-law Benny Colón.
Geneva Carr is likely to be reposing her role as neurolinguistics expert from the Department of Homeland Security, Marissa Morgan, who will be looking at jury reactions for him.
Jaime Lee Kirchner will probably again be assuming the mantle of former NYPD detective Danny James.
Finally, Chris Jackson is most like to make a comeback as Chunk Palmer, a stylist who helps to get clients ready for the dock.
What will happen in Bull season 4?
