Where to watch the royal wedding in Sydney
Redfern's Bar Cleveland will transform itself into "Bar Buckingham" for an evening of beer and cocktails. The venue is encouraging people to dress up and will also screen the ceremony live on level one from 9pm.
But if you're feeling up for something a little more exclusive, the Australian British Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a royal wedding dinner at the Four Seasons hotel on George Street. Guests for the ticketed event will be treated to a three-course dinner, wine and a raffle with proceeds going to the Invictus Games Foundation.
Also in Sydney's CBD, Sheraton the Park is hosting a royal high tea. Customers will be treated to British cakes, finger food and a spot of Pimm's. Guests who snap themselves in their best wedding attire will also go into the draw to win a luxury accommodation package worth $6000.
And for those who prefer popcorn and sugary drinks over elderflower cupcakes, Event Cinemas plans to screen the royal wedding from 8pm at its Bondi Junction, Campbelltown and George Street outlets. However, the Burwood screening will no longer go ahead due to technical issues.

The Bureau of Meteorology is predicting a low of nine degrees on Saturday with a chance of rain.
Not to be outdone by their Sydney counterparts, Victoria's hotels are also putting on a royal spread. The Langham will screen the wedding at its Aria Bar. Staff are also promising glasses of champagne to toast the royal couple. The hotel's in-house restaurant, Melba, has also been running a royal-themed dessert buffet featuring gold-dusted eclairs and earl grey macarons.
