POP star Aaron Carter was found dead in the bathtub of his home and now cops have revealed that they discovered cans of compressed air in his bathroom.
Carter's death has been making headlines ever since his body was discovered in his California home early Saturday afternoon.
While Carter's official cause of death hasn't been revealed yet, his past drug use is being investigated.
While combing through Carter's home in Lancaster, police told TMZ that they found multiple cans of compressed air in Carter's bathroom and bedroom.
They also discovered prescription pills, the outlet reported.
Carter, who debuted his singing career in the late 1990s, had been very open about his opioid addiction.
He had recently checked into rehab for the fifth time, Distractify reported.
While it is still unclear if the drugs found in Carter's home were related to his death, it may help in the investigation.
Carter was last seen alive on Friday at 2am, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
The cops came for a welfare check at this time, but Carter told them to leave and told his housekeeper not to bother him.

After not seeing Carter all day on Friday, the housekeeper found his body in the bathtub on Saturday morning.
She then called 911, "yelling" for help.
Neighbors said they heard Aaron's employee screaming "he's dead, he’s dead" when she discovered his body.
Police believe that Carter's body was in the tub for a long time due to the smell of decomposition and the unnatural color that the water had turned, TMZ reported.
It might take months to get Carter's toxicology results back.
There was no suicide note or signs of foul play, the outlet reported.
A rep for the pop star confirmed his death and said: "Aaron worked very hard toward the end of his life in recovery, to be a good father and to make amends with his family."
"Unfortunately without proper recovery facilities available in our country and open borders, this is why we have an epidemic."
HEARTBROKEN FAMILY
Carter leaves behind his fiancée, Melanie Martin, and their son, Prince, who is only 11 months old.
Just hours after his death, Martin was pictured outside of Carter's home and sobbed as friends consoled her.
In one picture, she can be seen burying her head in her hands as she broke down in tears.
Martin broke her silence on the tragedy in a statement to TMZ: "My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father."
Carter rose to fame during the same time as his brother Nick, who was a part of the popular boy band the Backstreet Boys.
Nick, 42, said in an Instagram post about his brother's death: "My heart has been broken today.
"Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded."
"I have always held onto the hope, that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed.
"Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss."
Nick continued: "But the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here."
PAYING TRIBUTE
Hilary Duff, actress and pop star, paid tribute to Carter, years after their breakup over Lindsay Lohan.
The Lizzie McGuire actress, who began dating Aaron in 2001 when they were both 13 years old, wrote an emotional tribute to her ex-boyfriend following the news of his death.
The touching Instagram post read: "For Aaron – I'm deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world.
"You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent… boy did my teenage self love you dearly.
"Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy."
Dancing with the Stars, which Carter competed on during season nine of the show, praised him and sent "love" to his family.
Hosts Tyra Banks and Alfonso Ribeiro teamed up to deliver kind words, with the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star saying: "We want to take a moment to remember a star who competed on season nine."
The model then chimed in with: "This past weekend we lost Aaron Carter. And the team here at Dancing with the stars recalls the energy and the fun that he brought to this show – to this ballroom –and we offer our sincere condolences to his family."
