Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy) has found herself in serious danger after being kidnapped and tied to a bed by Colin (Mark Noble), Marshall Hamston’s (Max Fletcher) father.
Laurel was in Colin’s house because she needed to post Marshall’s passport to him so he could go on holiday.
When she arrived, Colin slammed the door shut and explained how he blames Laurel and her family for everything that’s recently gone wrong in his life.
When Marshall and Colin were first introduced, it was established that Colin had been physically and emotionally abusing his son because of his sexuality.

Colin’s homophobia was the reason his son rejected him and went to live first with Laurel and Jai (Chris Bisson) and then with his aunt.
He went on to say that if Arthur (Alfie Clarke) hadn’t entered Marshall’s life, he wouldn’t be in this position.
In Wednesday’s (August 9) episode, Colin told Laurel that if she contacted Marshall and convinced him that his dad had changed, she could leave.
Laurel wasn’t going to do that, maintaining that Marshall was never going to be in Colin’s care ever again.
As Colin’s behaviour escalated, Laurel’s attempt at escaping saw her trick Colin into thinking she was praying to God. She then grabbed a bible and smacked Colin over the head, providing her enough time to run downstairs.
Sadly, the doors and windows were locked, meaning Laurel faced the horrifying reality that she was trapped unless she could find the keys or wait for help to arrive.
Laurel spotted a bunch of keys and went to use them on the front door, but Colin arrived and hinted at further punishment for her.
Back in the village, as Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) and Suni (Brahmdeo Shannon Ramana) realised that Laurel hadn’t made it to India for Rishi’s (Bhasker Patel) funeral, we saw Colin back in Marshall’s bedroom, speaking about how he believes he can save his son, who will ‘atone for his sins’.
In disturbing scenes, we then saw Laurel on the bed, gagged and tied so she couldn’t run away.
While Nicola and Suni are growing suspicious, will they work out that Laurel is at Colin’s?
If so, will they even manage to save her?
