Coronation Street has once again made reference to the elusive Fanny.
Viewers will know that Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) was left speechless earlier this year, when she discovered a picture of a woman named Fanny buried within the family photos.
The mainstay became determined to find out just who this Fanny was, and therefore she launched into an investigation to get to the bottom of it.
The mystery hasn’t been referenced in weeks, but Audrey Roberts (Sue Nicholls) wanted to hear all about Fanny in tonight’s episode (February 26) of the long-running serial drama.
‘Any more to say about the mysterious Fanny?’ Audrey enquired.
‘Didn’t I tell you?’, an elated Gail replied, ‘There was a postcard in that box, and it mentioned that Fanny accompanied, get this, Mr Churchill!
‘Churchil did campaign for a by-election in Oldham at the turn of the century, and I’m pretty sure that great great granny Fanny had links to Oldham!’
Audrey was impressed by the discovery, evidently intrigued by the enigma that is Fanny, but she soon got sidetracked, as she informed Gail that she reminded her of Winston Churchill when she was a child!
Have we heard the last of Fanny? Or will Gail dive deeper into the mystery?
