Emmerdale and Coronation Street fans, get your diaries out and sharpen your pencils because there are some huge changes to the usual schedules in the coming weeks. But fear not – we’ve got everything you need to know so you don’t miss any of the soap action.
There are some massive storylines running currently in both the ITV soaps. Coronation Street fans are wondering whether serial killer Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) could finally be running out of luck as people are starting to get increasingly suspicious of his activities.
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who’s long had his doubts about Stephen, is set to try to alert Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) to his suspicions – leading her to do some investigating of her own. Peter (Chris Gascoyne) and Carla (Alison King), meanwhile, are also on Stephen’s trail as well. Could he soon be facing justice – or might he kill again if he’s cornered?
Meanwhile things continue to spiral for Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) after the devastating acid attack and Cassie (Claire Sweeney)’s return to Tyrone (Alan Halsall)’s life causes more upheaval. And there’s the hugely emotional story of Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) and his deteriorating health.
Emmerdale viewers have just seen Mackenzie (Lawrence Robb) and Charity (Emma Atkins) sleeping together in a moment of madness ahead of baby Reuben’s christening, and there are bound to be repercussions – and broken hearts – in the wake of that.

Elsewhere Mary (Louise Jameson), Paddy (Dominic Brunt) and Marlon (Mark Charnock) are all about to take major steps forward as Rhona (Zoe Henry) forces them to face their fears.
And there’s a devastating storyline unfolding for Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), who has just reconnected with her old friend Craig (Ben Addis). He’s someone she was close to when they both lived in a children’s home and was revealed as the father of her baby Toby.
In upcoming scenes Craig will rape Lydia, in a storyline which Karen Blick has described as ‘one of the most important and sensitive stories I have been part of during my time in Emmerdale.’
