Coronation Street fans were seriously distracted as Stephen (Todd Boyce) continued his murderous rampage.
The factory owner was caught up in a blunder as he attempted to break into the hotel room of Rufus' widow Lou (Eleanor Howell), to retrieve the potentially implicating tie pin that was left at the scene of his murder.
However, viewers were more concerned over the scenes back at the factory, where Carla (Alison King) was engaged with a buisness meeting with her.

Carla is currently married to Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne), but the audience took to social media in their droves as they couldn't help but notice the 'obvious' chemistry between herself and Lou in the ITV soap.
She was heard uttering lines that hinted that she needed a change, whilst her potential buisness partner was flooding her with praise.
And fans couldn't help but wonder whether these characters were meant to be, as one thought: "When are Lou and Carla gonna kiss like for real?"
"Sorry but when is the carla and lou lesbian affair happening? it’s so obvious #Corrie," asked a second viewer.
Whilst a third stated: "I'm calling it carla and lou gonna l** up #Corrie."
A fourth stated: "Carla’s doing a u-turn. #Corrie."
And a fifth added: "Writers still can't think of anything new for carla then?", along with a smirk face emoji.
This comes as more fans of the long-running Salford based soap are convinced that Carla and Peter
One fan fumed: "They’re breaking up Peter and Carla again!!!! F****** d****** writers!!!!!!!"
A second exclaimed: "Peter and Carla are the one good thing this soap have going and the minute and they throw them into an argument."
Whilst a third commented: "Poor Peter. Is this the end of his marriage to Carla…that will mark his exit #Corrie."
"The downfall of Peter and Carla looms #corrie," as a fourth noted.
