Coronation Street fans hope Sally Metcalfe will save Yasmeen Nazir

Coronation Street fans are praying that Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) can step in and save Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King), who is facing prison for attacking her abusive husband Geoff Metcalfe (Ian Bartholomew).

Alya returned home from abroad and shared with Sally what had been happening to her grandmother.

Yasmeen has been terrorised at the hands of her emotionally abusive partner, and it became all too much for her recently when she attacked him with a wine bottle, stabbing him in the neck.

Geoff is currently in hospital – still alive – but Yasmeen is facing some harsh questions from the police who seem to believe she wanted to kill Geoff.

With Sally in the know about what has been happening, is there a chance she could exonerate Yasmeen? Fans seemed to think so.

Coming face to face with him, the businesswoman said she wished that Yasmeen had ‘finished the job’ when she defended herself.

With Geoff’s son Tim (Joe Duttine) fully in his dad’s corner and believing Yasmeen is capable of murder, is there any hope for her?

Or will Sally, who seemed to be suspicious in tonight’s episode, be able to do something to help?
