New pictures of Coronation Street being filmed reveal dramatic scenes are on the way involving the character Spider Nugent as he struggles to maintain his cover.
Stunned fans learned on Monday (September 11) that he wasn't what he seemed and is in fact working as an undercover policeman.
The activist has been snapped filming a violent brawl which sees Peter Barlow clash with protesters, after viewers learned he was secretly spying on his ex Toyah Battersby.
We don't know if Spider's real identity will be exposed in the coming weeks but we do know his ex Toyah is already mad enough to find out he was secretly married, after the pair spent the night together.
In the images, Peter (played by Chris Gascoigne) can be seen hitting out at one of Spider's friends, as he falls to the ground and the group surround him.
Spider will likely be concerned that someone may reveal the truth to Peter, but we'll have to wait and see.
On Monday (September 11), Coronation Street fans were left stunned as Spider's secret was finally revealed on the ITV soap.
For weeks, Spider's personal life has been a mystery, especially when it was revealed that he is married despite reconnecting with Toyah Battersby.
And on Monday's episode, yet another bombshell was dropped when viewers learned that Spider is in fact an undercover police officer working on the cobbles.
The secret came out after Spider declared his love for Toyah, who was left concerned as he's married as she doesn't want to be hurt.
This week's episodes of Coronation Street are going to air amidst some changes to the TV schedule in the wake of the Queen's death.
Today (September 13) ITV's This Morning was dedicated to memories and tributes for the Queen today as the nation continues its period of national mourning.
Soap expert Sharon Marshall joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to discuss some of the occasions when Her Majesty visited the sets of some of the nation's best loved soaps including: EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
While hours of meticulous planning takes place for all of the Queen's engagement, Sharon revealed that things "went a bit wrong" during her day on the Emmerdale set.
Speaking about the 2002 incident, Sharon said: "She went to see the actual scene of the post office being blown up and a piece of wood apparently blew a lot closer than everyone was expecting."
