CORONATION Street's David Platt is set to have a meltdown as he comes face to face with rapist Josh Tucker in court.
In the upcoming scenes David – played by Jack P. Shepherd – will have to stand against Josh, who was in prison after committing a further sexual assault.
David hasn't seen Josh since he was last in prison.
Josh – played by Ryan Clayton – previously framed David for attempted murder after a riot broke out and he was stabbed.
Instead of telling the truth about what happened, he decided to lie and claimed David had stabbed him putting an end to David's hopes of freedom.
However, he soon came clean after being pressured by Paul Foreman.
The court scenes will be the last for Josh.
Since arriving on the cobbles, the troubled character has caused mayhem for David.
He took murdered Luke Britton’s job at the garage before befriending him.
But their friendship was short-lived when Josh drugged David and raped him after a night out.
Viewers were spared any explicit scenes and instead, the story showed David waking up in Josh's bed and realising the horror of what happened to him.
It was the first time in Coronation Street's history where a male rape has been covered on screen.
And it looks like David might be in for more heartache as David and Shona Ramsey's plans to formally adopt Max and Lily don't exactly go smoothly.
In the scenes, David and Shona revealed their adoption plans to the youngsters, but he was left distraught when all Max wants to know is whether he’ll still be able to see his grandmother Marion.
