Coronation Street spoilers: Max Evans reveals 'brutal' scenes for Corey and Abi

There are intense scenes ahead for killer Corey Brent and vengeful Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) in Coronation Street.

With Abi determined to kill Corey following the murder of her son Seb, Maximus Evans, who plays the murderer, describes the showdown as ‘unexpected, shocking and brutal.’

And he reveals that he and Sally really went for it as they are involved in a face off after falling down a sinkhole into a subterranean sewer system, flooding with water.

He told ‘Reading the script, I was finding it hard to have that vision but when I saw all the elements, it was so easy to slip into. I never expected the environment to be so harsh and it was so cold. It was a long week of being cold but it was the best week I’ve had., It was absolutely amazing.

‘Sally is one of the best actresses we have on the show and David Neilson, two actors I admired before this kicked off. To have been involved on such a high scale operation was good enough but working with Sally made it so much easier. We actually like each other in real life.’

It’s a week that fans will never forget and it has been confirmed that Corey will face justice – but will it be through the courts or through death.

Adding more details about the major episodes, Max said: ‘I was really excited; any actor would be that it wouldn’t be a usual day at work. Because of who I was doing the scene with, it added the extra layer. The thought of doing it is different from doing it.

‘In the elements, it’s easier because you’re in that moment. There were some night shoots which can go either way – they can be long for everyone! Everyone smashed through it and in the end everyone wants the best results. I can’t wait for people to see it.

‘I was talking to my mum about it and dropping hints and even talking about it was making me excited to see it!’
