Hope Stape (played by Amelia Flanagan) has had a troubled history on Coronation Street with Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) being forced to take her daughter away to Birmingham to attend a specialist behavioural unit. In recent months, the schoolgirl was not impressed with Tyrone Dobbs’ (Alan Halsall) relationship with Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) and even started a fire in the latter’s flat when the pregnant beautician was inside. But, as Fiz tries to move forward with her new boyfriend Phil (Jamie Kenna) will Hope lash out again when Tyrone finds a new love interest?

In upcoming scenes, Hope tells her family she has to build a model of the solar system for her science project.

Phil offers to help but this infuriates Tyrone who insists he’ll be the one to assist Hope.

Unbeknown to Tyrone, Phil has already gone to a lot of trouble by the time he jumps in to help.

Phil calls at the garage and hands over all of the materials for the solar system model.

Tyrone’s grateful but tries his best to hide this from Fiz’s new boyfriend.

Using Phil’s materials, Tyrone builds an amazing model for Hope.

Fiz and Phil are impressed by Tyrone’s efforts as the mechanic masks his guilt.

Later, Tyrone visits Fiz just as Phil arrives home with Hope and Ruby from school.

Phil tells the parents Ruby has been invited to a party but it’s been made clear Hope isn’t welcome.

Fiz is furious but Tyrone tells the pair it’s not his fault and not to worry about it.

At the party, the mechanic stands up to Penny and tells him he’s not happy with her attitude towards Hope.

Fellow mum Isla (Gemma Oaten) overhears Tyrone’s stern words and is impressed.

Isla suggests they all go out for a milkshake together after the party.

Hope and Isla’s daughter Darcy bond while the latter’s mum flirts with Tyrone.

She asks the mechanic out and Tyrone agrees but what will Hope make of the new romance?

When Fiz finds out about the newcomer’s wish to date Tyrone she’s annoyed.

Will Hope pick up on her mum’s irritation and take action?

Tyrone’s decision to stand up to Penny could also come back to haunt him.

If Hope learns about her stepdad’s decision to lash out at a mum, she may feel her own aggressive behaviour could be justifiable.

Will Hope set her sights on harming Isla or her daughter Darcy in a bid to please Fiz?
