Coronation Street’s Elle Mulvaney looked miles away from her on-screen persona, Amy Barlow, as she glammed up for the annual award ceremony.
Elle looked stunning as she confidently posed on the red carport at The Inside Soap Awards 2023 Salsa! on Monday, September 25. The 20 year old donned a black glittered sleeveless top paired with a silver studded black mini skirt to show off her edgy style.
For an extra touch of glam, she completed the look with a dazzling pair of glittered peep-toe heels and a statement Vivienne Westwood silver necklace. Her nails were painted black with silver bracelets on both wrists.
The soap star's dark brunette locks were styled down in loose waves, just below shoulder length. She opted for a subtle but glowing make-up look with black eyeliner and rose pink lipstick.
The soap star has been caught up in a number of huge storylines since she arrived in Weatherfield as Amy Barlow back in May 2010. Earlier this year, Elle revealed to exclusivelyOK! that her boyfriend, who is also an actor, had been supporting her as her character, went through a traumatic rape storyline.
She said at the time: "He’s been brilliant, because he’s an actor as well he knows what it entails. He’s coped with his fair share of backlash in the past when he played Eli in Corrie.
"He’s always really supportive and if I’ve had a bad day he’ll say, 'Let’s go for a Chinese…'"
Elle previously told the Daily Star that she won’t be leaving her role any time soon, despite the number of actors who have left this year. "That’s the thing when people leave it's bittersweet but I'm just so excited for what they’re going to do and watch what they’re going to go on to next.
"But at the same time, it's like, 'Oh I don’t want you to leave, I'm losing a friend'. I feel like that’s been me recently like Jack went, James has gone, Ellie’s gone, they’re dropping like flies. I think it’s me, I think I'm the problem!"
This year's Inside Soap Awards saw our favourite stars come together for a night of recognition and achievement. The fan-voted awards show sees viewers have their say, with the most dramatic storylines and performances always causing a stir.
While EastEnders scooped the gong for Best Soap, Coronation Street received a flurry of awards, including Channique Sterling-Brown who won Best Newcomer for her portrayal of Dee-Dee Bailey. While Todd Boyce who plays the role of Stephen Reid won Best Villain and Maureen Lipman as Evelyn Plummer took home the award for Best Comic Performance.
Coronation Street was also announced as the Best Showstopper for their acid attack storyline that had viewers on the edge of their seats.
