Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan discovered her baby's sex in a really unusual way

Helen Flanagan discovered her baby’s sex in a pretty unique way.

The actress, who is currently pregnant with her second baby girl with Scott Sinclair, revealed that she found out the news from hotel staff while holidaying in Dubai.

No, we’re not kidding.

According to Helen, the couple were on vacation in the United Arab Emirates when the clinic sent the results of the baby’s sex to the hotel, leading staff to read the information themselves and organise a surprise for the big reveal.

“They put balloons in a big, decorated box which was brought into the restaurant,” she told OK! Magazine this week.

“We unwrapped it and, when the lid came off, pink balloons floated out!

“We would have been thrilled if it was a girl or a boy, I’m just lucky to be able to have a baby. I will love this baby just as much as I do [first child] Matilda.”

During the same interview, Helen also revealed that she cried filming her final scenes before going on maternity leave.

“We read through the script and all started to cry, and I’m not a crier,” she added.

“I just thought, I’m sensitive because I’m pregnant. I do love it at Corrie.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV. This week’s OK! Magazine is on sale now.
