Coronation Street's Kym Marsh opens up about harrowing stalker ordeal

She also reached out to Christine Lampard in her OK! Magazine column after her stalker Christof King was warned he faced jail for sending her sickening messages online.

Kym was stalked for 10 years and said she even received pornography through the post from a man who was harassing her.

She wrote: “I really feel for Christine – who I’ve met when I’ve appeared on Loose Women – and who is genuinely a lovely person.

“I hope she’s all right. Things like this happen all too frequently, like the time a man sent porn hate mail to me and a few other soap stars.

“He was sentenced and isn’t allowed to contact any of us again. That was quite scary and nasty.

“I also had someone send flowers to my home address after he was convinced we were chatting. He was actually duped by someone else who was pretending to be me, so he thought he was talking to me.”

Kym has previously revealed how online trolls made sick accounts of her three children, including her youngest, six-year-old Polly.

Earlier this month The Sun Online reported how Christine’s stalker was told by a judge he would most likely be jailed for his crimes against her.

Aspiring actor King admitted stalking her but denied sending a tweet saying: “I can hear the screeching of the nails as I sharpen them for your crucifixion.”

Another stated: “I am planning the writing on your gravestone.”

But a judge ruled he did send the tweets during a hearing at Isleworth Crown Court.

Christine, 39, said she could not face going out alone and cowered behind the sofa when King was outside.

He is now facing up to five years jail over the three-year campaign of harassment between January 2015 and September last year.
