Coronation Street: Ryan leaving Weatherfield
Coronation Street’s Peter Barlow (played by Chris Gascoyne) will be leaving the ITV soap later this year and it seems his exit will be a tragic one according to official spoilers.
Actor Chris Gascoyne hasn’t officially quit the soap and a departure storyline has not yet kicked off but spoilers for upcoming scenes may suggest otherwise.
Whilst Peter has no idea that Stephen was the one who induced Carla’s psychosis once again, he could be involved in a more sinister plot.
Next week’s episodes could see Peter place himself as a suspect in the death of one of Stephen’s victims.
Since his arrival in Weatherfield, Stephen has killed three people who have found out his dirty secrets, with his recent victim being Rufus Donahue (Steve Meo), who Stephen drugged and then drowned in his swimming pool.

Police believe that Rufus consumed too much alcohol but his wife Lou doesn’t believe it and soon heads to Weatherfield.
She tells Stephen and Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) that she’s cancelled their meeting and explains the inquest report into Rufus’ death is due tomorrow, and she suspects foul play.
Lou reveals she has also contacted the Gazette to share her story and her fears Rufus was killed, leaving Stephen horrified to realise his crime could be exposed.
After some new evidence comes to light, Lou returns and confides in Stephen and Carla that the Coroner found that Rufus died by misadventure.
At his memorial later in the week, Lou shows Stephen some things found at the scene and one of the items belongs to the killer.

Lou also shows Stephen some of Rufus’ belongings which contains a tie pin belonging to Stephen and leaving him at risk of being exposed.
She explains she is going to show the pin to the police, but her decision to do so could land Peter in some serious trouble.
Lou mentions to Peter about Rufus’ missing watch, leaving him to confess to Carla that he found it in the back of his cab and pawned it for her rehab.
Has Peter just made himself a suspect in the murder of Rufus? If Lou finds out what he has done with the watch, could she and the police link him to the death of her husband?
With Peter leaving at some point it would certainly get him out of the way but leave room for him to return in the future.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
