Coronation Street‘s Sinead Tinker will be left distraught next week when the health of her friend Steff takes a tragic turn for the worse.
Sinead (Katie McGlynn) has recently struck up a bond with Steff, a fellow cancer patient who’s been giving her some advice on alternative therapies.
Viewers know that Sinead has stopped having chemotherapy and has looked into other options, fearful that traditional treatment could harm her unborn baby.
Steff, who has breast cancer but gave up on chemotherapy after three rounds, gave Sinead advice on changing her diet.
When Sinead catches up with Steff’s husband next week, she’s devastated to hear that her friend’s cancer has spread and she now only has days left to live.
Could this cause Sinead to reconsider her own decision to stop chemotherapy?
Next week’s episodes also see Sinead find another confidant when she tells Billy Mayhew about how she’s been lying to her husband Daniel Osbourne.
Corrie‘s official website has confirmed that Sinead tells Billy she hasn’t been attending her chemotherapy sessions for weeks, but Daniel is none the wiser. Will the local vicar offer any advice?
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
