Coronation Street lines up another week of shocks for the residents of the famous cobbles, with multiple discoveries set to be made.

Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce) is left stunned upon arriving at a memorial for victim Rufus, while Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) teases Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) after he has a late night out.

Over at the Rovers, Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) welcomes the Newtons, hoping for their help in saving her beloved boozer, but things don’t exactly go to plan.

Jenny welcomes Phillip and Henry Newton to the Rovers.

Things get off to a rough start, with Glenda revealing that she’s suffering from a sore throat and therefore cannot perform on the evening in question.

Glenda, however, has an idea, revealing that she’s booked legendary performer Glyn Young, which leaves Phillip excited, much to Jenny’s relief.

Sarah witnesses Adam getting out of a taxi in the morning and can’t resist making a few digs about his disheveled appearance. Adam, however, reiterates that he’s single now and can therefore do whatever he wants, as Daniel shows up to spend some time with him.

Friday August 11

Stephen, Carla and Michael arrive at the hotel for Rufus’ memorial service, stunned by how little people have shown up. Stephen, however, is caught off guard when a boy approaches, revealing that he’s Rufus’ son.

The discovery renders the killer speechless, as Carla asks him if he’s okay. But will this surprise confrontation lead to Stephen finally being exposed?
