Corrie’s Catherine Tyldesley reveals one thing she won’t miss about playing Eva

Catherine Tyldesley’s final Coronation Street scenes aired tonight and the actress is gutted to be leaving.

However, there is one thing that Cath won’t miss about playing feisty Eva Price.

The actress admitted that she wasn’t a massive fan of Eva’s "bold costume choices".

Confident Eva certainly turned a few heads during her time on the cobbles with her revealing outfits.

Cath confessed the "statement pieces" weren’t her favourite but were perfect for her character.

Speaking in a clip posted on Corrie’s Twitter page, the actress claimed she loved dressing up on the ITV soap.

She said: "Eva has had some very bold choices costume-wise over the years. Certainly some statement pieces. I choose all of Eva’s outfits.

"Will I miss them? Not so much. But they were perfect for her. As an actress I’ve loved every minute of having that dress up time."

Eva left Weatherfield tonight in the back of a taxi after making a surprise appearance at Aidan’s inquest.

She headed off to France with baby Susie but there was one less person on the flight home as Adam Barlow chose to stay.

Catherine admitted she would miss on-screen sisters Georgia Taylor and Jane Dawson the most, as well as Shayne Ward who left earlier this year.

Thanking the cast, crew and fans, she said: "I’ve been supported her by the most incredible cast, the most incredible actors. My sisters for example, Georgia and Jane, I’m just going to miss so much, phenomenal.

"And Shayne Ward of course who played the lovely Aidan was just fantastic. I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with some fantastic actors and learn a lot on the job. We’ve all helped support each other and It really is an amazing place to work and I’m so grateful for my time here.

"I would just like to say to everybody who has supported me over the last seven years, and the character of Eva Price, thank you so much. I have loved every minute of it."
