Corrie’s Liz meets her long lost daughter and Tyrone gets some answers

Tonight Liz McDonald officially meets her daughter for the first time.

Liz enlists the support of Eileen Grimshaw to go and meet Jim and Hannah for lunch.

She is overcome with emotional and tells her daughter she has waited for this day for her entire life, and says she plans to meet her again after they have a tender embrace.

Later, she tells Michelle Connor that Hannah’s arrival has turned her world upside down and wants to know how Michelle coped with the same situation.

Elswhere, Roy Cropper does some digging and believes he has found an address for Tyrone’s biological grandmother, Evelyn.

Tyrone and Fiz heads over to the address and is confronted by a very formidable woman in her 70s.

Evelyn refuses to entertain that Tyrone could be her grandson, but when he and Fiz find holes in her story she reluctantly opens up to them.

She tells Tyrone to leave after a long visit, but he vows to maker her face up to the fact she is his grandmother.

Meanwhile, Ryan Connor is frustrated when he can not remember his password to his Whip-Coin account and can’t access the money he believes he has earned.

He tells Ali, his ‘brother,’ that he wrote it down in a book by Gazza, so goes on the hunt to find it.

They go on the wild goose chase to find the copy of Gazza – My Story, with Ryan agreeing to give Ali half the money if they find it.

Also, David Platt hosts an online football event for the kids at his house, but Maria Connor is upset to hear he has been slagging her off behind her back, and vows to get revenge.

Later, David and Dev are gutted when Michelle’s son Liam wins the football final.

And Imran Habeeb is shocked to see Leanne and Toyah Battersby together in the cafe, while Adam Barlow clocks his discomfort.

Adam is amused to hear Imran is sleeping with both the Battersby sisters, and warns him it is going to go terribly.

Finally, Brian is confused when Hope and Ruby lock him out of the house while he’s child-minding, suggesting he come down the chimney.

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
